Whately Hall hotel is located in the pretty market town of Banbury, the impressive 17th century building certainly packs a punch from the very first glimpse. Full of charm, character and steeped in history, your big day could take place alongside past events attended by William Shakespeare, King James II & Benjamin Franklin! Overlooking the beautifully manicured gardens, we offer you the perfect setting for a unique and unforgettable wedding day. With magnificent oak panelling, old closed fireplaces and iron chandeliers all creating the most romantic and charming atmosphere for you and your guests. We are fully licensed to host civil marriages with plenty of space to accommodate up to 120 guests, the hotel and gardens have a variety of fantastic period spaces for your celebrations. The popular Swift Suite is the ideal location for your wedding breakfast, classically decorated and filled with natural light, the beautiful space boasts stunning traditional original features and direct access to our wonderful gardens. From reception drinks and canapés to a traditional wedding breakfast, we will take the time with you to create your perfect day just as you’ve dreamt it. Our team of in-house Chefs pride themselves on creating inspiring dishes sourced from local and seasonal ingredients, creating wedding menus you will never forget. When the day draws to a close, your guests can spend a night in one of the 69 stylish bedrooms, which are available at preferential rates. As VIP’s, you can enjoy the first night of married life in a complimentary bridal suite.
