About Cardney Steading

A rustic barn style Wedding Venue with indoor and outdoor ceremony and reception spaces. We offer Barn Weddings, Woodlands Weddings and Waterside Weddings, giving you endless ideas and photo opportunities. With a Bridal Suite to ready yourselves, and onsite accommodation for your guests. Plus we are Dog Friendly

Cardney Steading is a family run business, owned and operated by Katriona and Lewis. It is a beautiful and unique venue. We have both indoor and outdoor ceremony areas. Our Loch side, Woodland and The Old Mill (capacity 160) with its rustic charm are perfect for the wedding ceremony and then moving into the new Dining Room (Capacity 160) Cattle Shed (capacity 200) for the evening reception. Our centrally located bar can be served both inside and outside.

With it being a blank canvas DIY venue, you have the freedom to choose your own suppliers to suit your style and theme. You are welcome to select your caterers and food vans from our preferred suppliers. Our catering room is kitted out with plenty of power as we find our caterers prefer to bring their own equipment.

We have on site accommodation sleeping up to 18 people and we are proud to be both canine and equine friendly so you can bring your four legged family members to be part of your wedding day. There are ample nearby options for additional accommodation.

Our Sustainability Commitments

In recent years, we have planted significant areas of new native woodland as well as managing ancient woodlands and producing commercial timber. In September 2024 we began work on our new dining room, The Dalradian. Where possible we have used material from the estate such as timber cladding and stone work from one of the old farm buildings.
