About Wedderlie House
Wedderlie House is a newly refurbished exclusive use private let accommodation (sleeps up to 45) wedding venue with beautifully converted barns, a marquee, on-site bar, 50 acre grounds to explore and a magical 13-15th century castle/manor house.
Welcome to Wedderlie House and Grounds. We are a brand new, exclusive use wedding and events venue nestled on a private estate in the Scottish Borders, an easy, 30 mile drive from the capital. Whether it’s the converted stables with far-reaching views, a garden marquee or an outdoor ceremony in the festoon-lit courtyard, the choice is yours at Wedderlie.
The secluded 50-acre estate will be yours to share with family and friends for the entirety of your stay. Our usual hire is three days and two nights, including function spaces for ceremonies and celebrations, and on-site accommodation for 42+ guests. Function spaces consist of two beautifully converted barns; an onsite bar; and a garden marquee with seating for up to 150 at round tables. On-site accommodation is spread between historic Wedderlie House, our country cottage, converted hayloft, and 2 cabins available for hire. We also welcome private events and holiday rentals. There are also the grounds themselves, with lawns, woodlands, rose garden, sports court and Border’s views your entire guest list can enjoy.
Wedderlie House is a family run business with an experienced events team. With a limited number of weddings each year, we work closely with each couple to plan their perfect day. No two weddings are the same at Wedderlie, and we encourage each couple to create a unique experience. Our ethos is simple: Your day, Your stay, Your way.
