About Barnutopia
Exclusive 3-day hire glamping village, campsite, wedding barn. Licensed for Indoor and outdoor ceremony. Set in a stunning rural countryside location with breath-taking views in every direction in Oswestry, Shropshire, on the England/Wales border. Barnutopia’s perfect for unique weddings and receptions.
The wedding barns, glamping accommodation, campsite and facilities are beautiful and practical. This is a fabulous country venue with all the conveniences you need for the perfect rustic wedding. The wedding barn can seat up to 120 guests but can be sectioned for smaller numbers. The garden room is another option for micro weddings. The little barn houses the cookhouse, a fully equipped camp kitchen and lounge area. The Dutch barn, next door to the cookhouse and with access to the party barn, is an excellent indoor/outdoor space where you can have a drinks reception if the weather is poor. Barnutopia provides fire pits, logs and garden seating. Campfires are encouraged, and the owners love to see guests enjoying an evening chatting in the sunset. Tie the knot outside against the backdrop of the Shropshire and Powys hills. Enjoy animal encounters with our donkeys, mini cows, mini pigs, black sheep and friendly cats. If you prefer to have a church wedding, Silin's church. Llansilin is just over half a mile away along a leafy country lane.

You can go on all night if you like as long as you respond to requests to turn down the music volume.
There are reasonable noise restrictions. As long as you aren't blasting across the valley you can play until late. Some parties have gone on all night with the music turned down to an acceptable level.
We may allow low-noise ground fireworks but not rockets. Sparklers or coloured smoke bombs provide great photo opportunities.
Water-soluble biodebradable eco/snowfetti is the ONLY confetti allowed. No paper, foil, rice, leaves or flower petals.
No, but the barn is lit with fairy lights and you can use flickering electronic LED candles to good effect.
Yes, there is although couples may choose whichever glamping unit they want for themselves. They also have access to rooms and a bathroom in the farmhouse to get ready on their wedding day.
Yes, there are 11 luxury glamping yurts and cabins. All have real beds, linen, electrical sockets, light, heating and (site-wide) free WiFI. And a camping field (no EHU) if you have guests happy to pitch their own tents.

Our Sustainability Commitments
Our water supply is from a spring and has no chemicals added. For safe cooking and drinking it goes through a micro filter and a UV filter. We also installed a commercial rainwater harvesting system for non-drinking water (for flushing toilets, for example). We avoid single-use plastics. We compost all our organic animal waste and give it away for free to local (and not-so-local) gardeners.
