About Stockton House
Stockton House sits within the wider Apley Estate in Shropshire and offers couples exclusive-use weddings across its Georgian country house and gardens. From the moment you arrive along the estate’s tree-lined lane and past the 11th-century St Chad’s Church, you plan each part of your day to suit your preferences.
Stockton House has no fixed arrival or departure times; you and your guests can stay for as many days as you choose, with seven en-suite double bedrooms and a freshly prepared breakfast each morning. Ceremonies are possible in multiple places: the secret walled garden dining room that seats 100 and can hold up to 120 standing guests, the Victorian turning house in the landscaped gardens with its unique mechanism for signing the register, or at St Chad’s Church a short walk down the lane. The dining room’s high walls, chandeliers and open windows bring light and views of the gardens into the space.
Food and drink are bespoke, with chefs working with couples to craft menus from scratch and bar packages tailored to preferences. On-site accommodation is flexible, with no set check-in or check-out times and control over how long you stay. Stockton House’s exclusive-use approach means its bar, vaulted cellar, gardens and interior rooms are all available for weddings and celebrations.
