About Elms Barn
Elms Barn is a 17th Century Manor House and Barn on the Norfolk/Suffolk Boarder with rose gardens, woodland, fields, stalely home and waterside photo opportunities. With 25 years of weddings under our belts we offer exclusive 3 day hire and have in house planning, on the day coordination, catering, drinks, florals and on site accommodation from our expert team. Everything you could need for a calm and stress free planning process and wedding. We help build every wedding to be completely bespoke.
Our beautifully restored Grade II listed barn provides a charming and rustic backdrop for your ceremony and reception. Renovated specifically with weddings in mind every element of the space is optimised for a marriage celebration. The airy interior features exposed beams, elegant chandeliers, and a warm, inviting ambience. With ample space for up to 120 guests for a seated dinner and 200 for an evening celebration, Elms Barn can accommodate weddings of all sizes.
The Barn itself is adjoined by a permeant fully lines, heated marquee with a wooden floor, the perfect breakout space for guests as the main barn is transformed from the ceremony to the wedding breakfast, wedding breakfast to evening party. It also offers a fabulous space for those who find a disco a little overwhelming to retreat in the evening. The marquee means that regardless of weather guests can enjoy the cocktail hour and mingle at every wedding no matter if they are in January or July.
Dreaming of an outdoor ceremony? We do that too! Our whimsical rose garden is the ideal place for an outdoor ceremony with the arch of perfectly manicured roses becoming the aisle and guests facing towards the couple for a more personal ceremony that is loved by registrars and celebrant alike.
Our dedicated wedding team is passionate about creating bespoke experiences tailored to your unique vision. From the initial planning stages to the day of your celebration, they will assist as much as you need through this magical journey. With in house catering, offering everything from canapes to fabulous wedding breakfasts, tailored to your liking, to dirty burgers in the evening; florists bringing your vision to life. On site accommodation for 24 guests and much more locally if needed in Loddon and Beccles. And day of coordination to ensure your timeline is as seamless as when we planned it.

FAQs
Yes we only offer exclusive use of the venue so there is no chance of seeing anyone you are not expecting. We offer 3 day hire for you to enjoy the day before and after your wedding just to yourselves!
We are licenced for indoor ceremonies in our romantic candlelit barn, as well as outdoor ceremonies in the whimsical rose garden.
Outdoor ceremonies take place in the beautiful rose garden of our Queen Anne house.
We do charge a small corkage fee. However, most couples opt to choose from our wine list which we've carefully selected in partnership with one of the best fine wine merchants in England.
Elms Barn has a fabulous in house catering team who are more than happy to curate a bespoke menu to suit your wedding if you would prefer this to one of our traditional menus.
You'll have three days of exclusive use of the wedding venue, so you can set up from 8am on the first day if you like but most people come in at 2pm the day before as we have in house florists who will finish all your decor before this point for you, no fuss or stress.
The cut off is midnight, I can apply for a 1am extension for a few weddings each year, this works on a first come first served basis.
Live music and discos need to take place inside the barn itself, there is a noise limiter but it does not cut the power, so long as it is not night club levels of noise we have no issues.
Sparklers are allowed and if being suppled and set off by a professional we can have larger scale fireworks.
Of course as long as it is petal of some description confetti is fantastic
Absolutely, our barn is lit with many candles which creates a truly romantic and magical atmosphere. So long as candles are table height or higher and in a sensible vessel we love them!

Our grounds comprise boutique guest accommodation for 24 guests in our cottages and barns including the honeymoon suite. We also have further accommodation close by at our AA 4 star 18th century inn.
We own a 18th Century Coaching Inn with ten bedrooms sleeping twenty guests, which is a short drive away in the pretty market town of Loddon. There are also many Airbnb's and hotels in the local area within a 15 min drive
Yes absolutely we love having dog and other animals attend weddings we have seen everything from dog to alpaca and even a T-Rex!
