About The Guildhall

Give your civil ceremony a beautiful backdrop, The Guildhall is located in Ipswich, Suffolk. We can hold up to 100 wedding guests for your wedding ceremony.

The main entrance from the churchyard will lead you to the Guild Room on the ground floor (accessible entrance). This room lies directly beneath the Old Town Hall.
Measuring 6l x 18 ft it accommodates up to 100 people and lends itself to a variety of uses – exhibitions, lectures, meetings, craft shows, wedding receptions, and celebration functions etc.

The room retains a few reminders of its varied past – most notably the enormous (now non-functioning) brick fireplace. It also has direct access to the enclosed picturesque garden.

Drinks may be supplied by members of the hiring party themselves or the licensee can provide a bar as this room only has tea and coffee-making facilities, and small kitchenette area.
