Licensed for 28 guests, the Mayor's Parlour is an intimate setting, ideal for those who desire a more personal atmosphere. Situated on Market Hill, the Mayor's Parlour is within walking distance of pubs and restaurants for your reception. Weddings take place on Fridays and Saturdays, with a choice of Traditional and Enhanced ceremonies.
Located near the border of Suffolk and Essex, Sudbury is a popular wedding destination for couples looking for the traditional charm of an ancient market town.

We ARE civil ceremonies. However, that doesn't mean we're 'one size fits all': all our couples are different, and all our ceremonies are different. While some couples prefer a Traditional ceremony, others opt for maximum personalisation with an Enhanced ceremony. The choice is yours!
At the Mayor's Parlour unfortunately not. However, we offer outdoor ceremonies at most of our approved venues (please see our website for a directory of all our venues) and also at unlicensed venues such as your own garden.
We love confetti - as long as they're biodegradable.
The Mayor's Parlour is in the very heart of Sudbury, with plenty of accommodation nearby.
Far from it! Register Office weddings offer flexibility, affordability and most importantly, the same options for personalisation that you'd have with a private celebrant, except for religious content. We are also the only celebrants that can legally marry couples.
