The Soper Hall, steeped in history and exuding period charm and understated grandeur, has stood in the heart of Caterham for more than 100 years.

Built in 1911, The Soper Hall includes a memorial hall to William Garland Soper, who was often noted as ‘The Father of Modern Caterham’.

Today, the building stands at the heart of the community, and can offer you an undeniably romantic backdrop to your perfect day. From the imposing archway entrance, to the awe-inspiring ceiling, The Soper Hall is THE venue to take your guests breath away.

One of the many wonderful things about hiring The Soper Hall as your venue is that you are giving yourself a completely blank canvas upon which you can create your dream day. Unlike other venues, we won’t tell you that you have to use our tables, or our chairs. You are completely at liberty to hire who and what you want to make your day unique to you. You also have the choice of both our grand Memorial Hall and more intimate Conference Hall for your ceremony as both are licensed for Civil Ceremonies.
