About The Observatory Science Centre
The Observatory Science Centre is the perfect setting for a unique wedding in East Sussex. Our unusual venue offers so many options for ceremonies, receptions and endless entertainment for you and your guests. With capacity for up to 60 guests and the choice of having the dome roof open or closed to suit your perfect day.
A wedding venue like no other, we offer an unparalleled experience from start to finish. For the ultimate celebration we offer ceremonies in one of our amazing telescope domes.
After your ceremony your guests are welcome to use our extensive science exhibits and outdoor areas while you take the opportunity to take photos amongst our iconic domes.
Celebrate your wedding with a reception at The Observatory. We offer receptions using our permanent marquees and work with external caterers so your celebration will be totally tailored to your style.

Yes! You have the option to hire The Observatory for exclusive use. We are also available for non-exclusive hire. Please note all ceremony/reception areas are kept private from the public.

No. As a dry hire venue we will only charge corkage is you wish to SELL alcohol. We recommend using a licenced bar.
Yes. We do not have in house caterers. We are happy to recommend outside caterers and bars.
Access is from 9am on the wedding day. Depending on your date, access may be late afternoon/ evening the previous day. This cannot be guaranteed until closer to your wedding date.
