About The Royal Pavilion

The Royal Pavilion at Brighton is the only royal palace in the UK not owned by the Crown or State, the Pavilion is a party palace fit for royalty that has seen two hundred years of grand celebrations and lavish occasions. Despite being built during the Regency period, both the exterior and interiors reflect a look to the East that was incredibly popular in Georgian England. Truly a beautiful and unique venue unlike anything else, right in the heart of vibrant Brighton.

Within the Royal Pavilion, there are two rooms licensed for civil ceremonies. The largest is our magnificent Music Room which can accommodate up to 120 guests. A truly dazzling room, built to entertain and delight, the Music Room never fails to impress. Or for something more intimate, our elegant yet sumptuous Red Drawing Room can accommodate up to 44 for a ceremony with all the drama of a palace wedding, just on a smaller scale.

Once you have said ‘I do’, we would love you to celebrate with us in one of our historic spaces. From a simple drinks reception in the State Banqueting Room, beneath the two-story dragon chandelier, to a full seated wedding breakfast with dance floor, we can offer it all. The Banqueting Room itself can also host your wedding breakfast, as can Central Gallery of Brighton Museum, just across the Pavilion gardens. This large Victorian gallery has grand proportions and beautiful art for you and your guests to dine amongst. We also have three other beautiful rooms you may choose from to make your day special and personal to you.

Nothing beats the East Lawn, with it’s backdrop of the large onion dome, for sheer wow wedding photography. Large enough to accommodate any group or striking with the couple alone, the east façade of the Royal Pavilion is truly iconic. The Pavilion Gardens in summer also offer hundreds of beautiful spots for the couple, with the Royal Pavilion framed by colourful flowers and mature trees.
Inside the building there are endless locations for grand and intimate photography. The stunning Chinese inspired Long Gallery is not to be missed, nor the cast iron bamboo staircase. The palace is yours to explore and find those images you will treasure forever.

As well as a list of approved caterers we have a list of photographers and other suppliers we can recommend.
