About Selden Barn Weddings
Nestled in the South Downs National Park, Selden Barns Wedding Venue is set in an idyllic 50-acre, rural location surrounded by fields, forests and hedgerows. The formal gardens to the west are bounded with flint and brick walls.
Civil ceremonies can be held indoors or outdoors. The Ceremony Barn, featuring original oak beams and exposed brickwork, can seat up to 100 guests. For larger gatherings, a licensed garden setting with an oak pergola can hold up to 250 guests. After the ceremony, drinks receptions take place on the terrace and in the formal gardens, before guests move into the Grand Barn for the wedding breakfast and evening reception.
The Grand Barn provides over 300 square metres of space, with ivory pleated linings, chandeliers, and a fairy light canopy over a raised dancefloor. The space includes an integrated bar and can seat up to 230 guests for a meal, with capacity for 250 people for an evening event. As an exclusive-use venue, the barns and grounds are reserved entirely for the wedding party. The services of a dedicated wedding coordinator are included, and the team works with a selection of catering partners to provide bespoke menus.
Overnight accommodation is available on-site for up to 24 guests across nine en-suite bedrooms. This includes a Gatehouse Newlywed Suite. The following morning, breakfast is served for resident guests in the Farmhouse kitchen.
