The Vermont Hotel sits above Newcastle upon Tyne’s city centre with views across the River Tyne and its bridges, next to historic Castle Keep and close to other local landmarks including the Tyne Bridge. Its event spaces include a large Ballroom with high ceilings and chandeliers, a more intimate Gold Room and the Redwood Bar, each used for different parts of wedding celebrations.

On the rooftop, ABOVE terrace offers an open-air space with panoramic city skyline views that can be used for drinks receptions or evening gatherings.

Couples work with a dedicated weddings team from first planning conversations through the day itself. The hotel’s wedding packages include exclusive use of one of the function rooms for a reception and evening, a drink reception, a three-course wedding breakfast and accompanying wines, a tasting session beforehand, a dance floor and a traditional post box, plus other items such as a cake stand and knife. The package also includes accommodation for the couple’s wedding night and discounted bedroom rates for guests.

The River Suite is reserved for the wedding night, and the variety of spaces within the hotel allows different parts of a wedding day to move between rooms while remaining under the same roof. Rooftop ABOVE’s terrace with city views can be used for informal moments or reception drinks before or after indoor celebrations.
