Documentary. I don't direct, I don't pose people, and I won't ask you to hold a moment that's already happened. I arrive, blend in, and film your day as it unfolds — then shape it into something that genuinely feels like you. Most couples tell me afterwards they'd forgotten I was there. That's exactly the aim.
Your teaser lands within 48 hours of your wedding day. Content clips for social media are typically with you the following day. Your full films follow at around 10–12 weeks — I'd rather take the time to get them right than rush something out.
Anywhere. I'm based in Hertfordshire and film regularly across the UK — from Scotland to the South Coast. I also take on destination weddings internationally. If you have a date and a location, get in touch and I'll confirm availability.
For weddings within two hours of where I am based, travel is included — no hidden costs. For destination weddings abroad, I simply ask you to cover flights, accommodation, and any relevant travel costs. I'll always be upfront about what that looks like before you commit to anything.
Yes and no. I'll ask about your music taste in the pre-wedding questionnaire — the genres, the artists, the mood you're after — and use that to guide the track selection. I source licensed music through professional platforms, so the specific track you have in mind may not always be available. But I'll always find something that feels right for your film.
It depends on your package. The teaser is typically around 60–90 seconds. Highlight films run to around 8–20 minutes depending on the package. Ceremony and speeches films are delivered in full. Full details are on the packages page at deansherwood.wedding/packages - I also offer 'The Home Movie' all your footage from the day in one long, sound included, chronological film, it's included in some packages.
That's not something I offer — my focus is entirely on crafting your wedding films to the highest standard rather than splitting attention across add-ons. If a video guest book is something you're keen on, it's worth looking at a specialist supplier for that alongside your videography.
Yes — drone footage is included as standard in every package where weather and venue restrictions allow. I'm fully qualified, insured, and CAA-registered to fly commercially. If your venue has a no-fly restriction or conditions on the day aren't suitable, I'll always let you know in advance.
That depends on your package. Most packages include just me — I work across multiple cameras simultaneously to cover the day from different angles. For couples who want both prep locations covered or maximum coverage across a larger wedding, a second shooter (Alina, my regular collaborator) can be added. Details on the packages page.
