We have a successful digital marketing internship programme so are always on the look out for our next intern. Although we are not currently recruiting our interns are usually promoted after 6-12 months leaving space for a new recruit. Feel free to send in your CV at any time.

guidesforbrides.co.uk is an online advertising platform for wedding businesses to connect with brides and grooms. We have nearly 3 million users p.a and 80k followers on social media.

This intern position is for a highly intelligent, enthusiastic, talented person to join our team of 15 for a 6-12 month Digital Marketing Internship. After the initial internship there is the possibility of a permanent role here, or this could be the perfect stepping stone to setting up your own business or embarking on a marketing or digital media career.

This role primarily involves researching and writing content for our website, blog, social media channels and printed magazines, so creative writing skills are essential.

In addition to your primary activities you will be involved in all areas of the business, enabling you to learn essential, transferable skills.

This is an ideal role for a digital marketing graduate, but we would also consider the right Gap student or a more mature applicant looking for a change of career.

Job description:

Daily posting to Facebook, Instagram, Twitter and Pinterest to increase our thriving social media following.

Managing our Twitter #weddingwednesday and #weddinghour

Interacting with brides on wedding forums

Writing content for our website and blog

Editing, re-purposing and adding images to existing content

Responsibility for local and online marketing for our Wedding Fairs

Sending e-marketing emails to brides and wedding businesses via MailingManager.

Identifying areas for improvement on our website to increase interaction and improve user experience and helping make the relevant changes.

Assisting our sales and design team by editing clients' adverts, uploading images, videos and writing copy to improve customer interaction.

In all aspects of this role you will be promoting and protecting our brand identity.

You will be based in our offices in Wantage but will need the flexibility to occasionally work outside usual office hours at events and functions.

Required skills:

  • exceptional research skills and a love of writing
  • an interest in the wedding industry
  • good communication skills
  • a methodical approach with the ability to manage your own time
  • an almost OCD level of perfectionism and attention to detail
  • a strong interest in online user experience
  • the flexibility and enthusiasm to assist in all aspects of the business
  • 3 A Levels or equivalent with A / A* in an essay based subject

Desirable skills or qualifications:

  • Basic knowledge of Photoshop, InDesign and HTML
  • Diploma in Digital Marketing or Sales & Marketing
  • an understanding of PPC, Google Adwords, Facebook advertising and re-marketing
