PHP Web Developer Role
Permanent - Full Time - Full Stack Web Developer.
Guides for Brides are a fast-growing, innovative digital company based in a stunning rural location on the edge of Wantage. We have several popular websites and apps at the core of our business, each puts brides and grooms in touch with venues and wedding suppliers in the UK and luxury hotels worldwide.
We have a great opportunity for an enthusiastic web developer to join our existing in-house digital team. You don't need to know about brides, couples, or wedding planning, but you do need to bring the right attitude and a technical skill set that we can help you build on.
This is a really varied and interesting role as we go into a fast growth phase, developing on both existing and new products across the full technology stack, working with designers, stakeholders and other developers.
Does this sound like you?
- You have experience working with PHP, MySQL, JavaScript, HTML & CSS
- You always write clean maintainable code
- You have a flair for front-end development with a good eye for UX
- You love to solve problems. You listen, ask questions, diagnose and then decide the best course of action to take. You ask for help when you need to and you offer help willingly to others
- You’re professional and friendly, honest and clear, and you can explain complex ideas to non-technical co-workers.
Even better if…
- You have experience working with JQuery, Laravel, Bootstrap, WordPress, SASS & Git
- You’ve used Trello or similar tools for tracking tickets
- You’ve used multiple programming languages, tools, principles and paradigms
