Having joined the Guides for Brides team in 2023, Sarah plays an important role in our marketing team by creating content and overseeing our social media channels. As a lover of fashion and having travelled extensively around South East Asia, Sarah is the perfect person to consult for the latest trends in bridal wear, wedding venue recommendations and destination wedding ideas, particularly in Malaysia and Bali.

Sarah's Role at Guides for Brides

As the Marketing Assistant, you can often find Sarah creating content for social media, writing blog posts and researching the latest wedding industry trends. As she has to do so much research in her role, she regularly speaks to wedding venues and suppliers to learn more about their businesses and has an impressive knowledge of many wedding venues and professionals across the UK.

Sarah's Experience and Educational Background

Sarah's educational background includes A-Level's in English Literature, Art and Business Studies, where she found her love for marketing. Sarah's passion for art paired with an aesthetic eye means she has a natural flair when it comes to advising couples on wedding styling and decor.

While working at Guides for Brides, Sarah is expanding her knowledge and skills with an apprenticeship in Digital Marketing to develop her experience in many core marketing topics such as: search engine optimisation, Google Analytics, social media and pay-per-click advertising.

What is your dream wedding style?

One of my favourite wedding styles currently is a fairytale wedding at a castle wedding venue. I would want to feel like a princess on my big day, and I am sure that with shows like Bridgerton, we will see an increase in weddings fit for royalty! I particularly love how Bridgerton produces so much inspiration for couples planning their big days. Whether you like lots of bright colour like Lady Featherington or prefer subtle pastel tones like the Bridgertons, there is something for everyone's taste in the show!

What wedding trends are you liking at the moment?

I am really liking the mismatched bridesmaid dress trend! It allows each bridesmaid to express their individuality and feel their best on their best friend's special day. It can be a tricky trend to nail, but when you do it well, it looks fantastic.

What is your favourite topic to write about?

My favourite topic to write about is definitely the “Trend Alert” blogs. I'll usually put them together when I start seeing a cool wedding ideas regularly appearing on on TikTok or Instagram. It's a fun and interesting way to learn about the newest trends in the wedding industry.

Where is your dream honeymoon destination?

Although I've never been, one place on my bucket list that I'd love to tick off is Lake Como in Italy. It's the perfect destination for a honeymoon as it's so romantic and scenic! Plus, being associated with relaxation and luxury, it's the perfect place to be treated with your partner after such a busy time planning your wedding.
