The Maldives is a collection of 1,192 coral islands grouped into 26 atolls. Of these atolls, 10 are open to tourists, and about 90 of the individual islands are exclusive tourist resorts. A Maldives honeymoon is a prime location for couples seeking supreme relaxation and unforgettable diving and snorkelling experiences.

If you're looking for the ultimate relaxation destination for your honeymoon, with world class hotels, restaurants and arguably some of the most beautiful beaches in the world - then the Maldives fits the bill perfectly.

About the climate:

The best time to visit the Maldives is between November and April, when it's not monsoon season and you know you are guaranteed sunshine for the entirety of your stay. Whilst flights and accommodation are more expensive during high season, it is worth paying the premium in our eyes as when it rains in monsoon season there is not much to do apart from drinking or scuba diving. Both are essential to any great honeymoon, but it's better to keep your options open and soak up the blissful Indian Ocean rays!
January - April: It’s always warm in the Maldives, however it rains considerably more at certain points in the year. To get hot weather but avoid the rain, we recommend visiting early in the year. January has the lowest average rainfall, and February, March or April are great options too. May, November & December: During the months of May, November and December, rainfall in the Maldives is averagely high. Temperatures can reach up to 30 degrees celsius, however it can be a risk for couples who don’t want to spend their honeymoon in the rain. To avoid this, try to visit in the early portion of the year - we recommend January, February, March or April.

About the island:

The Maldives boasts some of the most beautiful coral reefs in the world, and the snorkelling and scuba diving here are both exceptional. Likewise, the range of wildlife that live below sea level include a multitude of tropical fish, turtles, manta rays and sharks. The ocean has to be seen to be believed: mesmerisingly transparent shades of blue, whilst the beaches are renowned for their paper-white sand, flanked by idyllic palm trees.

What we love:

Every resort in the Maldives boasts its own private island, and with over 100 to choose from the selection of hotels is jaw dropping - so you can really find the perfect one for your honeymoon.
