Brett and Amy met on Tinder and dated for 16 months, before Brett popped the question in the beautiful Plaza de España in Seville. A year later, they tied the knot in a stunning Spring wedding at St Mary's Church, Oxfordshire, before celebrating at The Tythe Barn, Launton with a gin and rugby-themed reception. Whether you want a barn wedding or a hotel wedding, find your dream wedding venue on Guides for Brides!
The Venue
The Tythe Barn was the fourth venue that Brett and Amy looked around. According to the couple, they knew instantly that it was right place for them. It helped that the venue was a five minute walk from where they lived and close to the Church! Their colour theme was based around dusky pink and navy. Amy loves gin and Brett loves rugby so they incorporated these both into their Spring wedding too. Amy even started collecting gin bottles for table centrepieces before Brett proposed!
The Fashion
Amy wore a gorgeous satin wedding dress from Suzanne Neville, bought from Ellie Sanderson's Bridal Boutique in Beaconsfield. Her seven bridesmaids wore matching, long dusky pink dresses. Brett opted for a three-piece navy and grey suit to fit with the theme, whilst his groomsmen wore the same but with navy waistcoats.
The Food
Apart from seeing all their lovely friends and family in one place, the couple said their favourite part of the day was the food. For the wedding breakfast, the guests took the lead with a roast lamb self-carve. One guest from each table headed out to the cowshed to get ready, before appearing in hats and aprons to the tune of Leave Your Hat On by Tom Jones. This got everyone laughing and it was a great way to break the ice! Either side of the lamb, they served canapés and had a sweet table and wedding cake for dessert.
The Evening
Brett, Amy and their wedding guests danced the night away to The Viscounts, a live wedding band who played classic floor-filling songs. After their beautiful Spring wedding, the newlyweds then jetted off to the Amalfi Coast for their 5-night minimoon. They've still got their dream honeymoon to Sri Lanka and The Maldives to look forward to in Christmas 2019!
