The Theme
Michelle and Luke are not ones to go with tradition! The idea of a formal ceremony followed by a typical wedding party filled the couple with dread. Being the centre of attention, even on their wedding day, was not what they wanted. Instead, the couple loves spending time surrounded by their loved ones. They decided to combine Michelle’s love of feeding people with Luke’s passion for music and festivals. So, their big day became an outdoor festival wedding, filled with music, laughs and fantastic food!
The Venue
Michelle was searching for outdoor weddings in the Midlands and discovered Alcott Wedding. The couple were hooked immediately and had booked a viewing within a few hours! As they approached Alcott and drove up the long winding road, Michelle knew this was where she would have her wedding. She had been envisioning an outdoor venue, with amazing bands and lots of food vendors. Alcott was absolutely perfect. The couple were concerned their dream wedding was an extreme request, especially as they wanted their beloved labrador, Murphy, to be part of the day. But, all of their dreams could easily become reality at Alcott!
The couple decided to hold their special day in the gorgeous tipi, which could provide the intimacy and space they wanted. They also want the ceremony to be a way to share a beautiful time with their loved one, so they booked a beautiful Moroccan yurt as well. This provided an integral part of their day and was absolutely perfect. The venue also recommended suppliers, who bent over backward to ensure their dream wedding became real!
The Wedding
Michelle and Luke loved Alcott so much that they decided to have a little mini-break there in the lead up to the wedding. So the couple were able to watch as their wedding site came to life before their eyes!
Although the day itself brought rain and wind, the couple didn’t mind. They had numerous people behind the scenes on site, ensuring their day was amazing. The tipi looked absolutely stunning and able to fit all the guests very comfortably! A particular highlight for the couple was the ceremony, thanks to their wonderful celebrant. Everyone adored the venue, music and especially the food. Guests are still in awe about the food quality they received that was cooked and served at an outdoor event. Michelle and Luke had simply the perfect day. As they reflected at the end of the evening, they knew there was nowhere else they would ever have wanted to have their wedding and no other way they would have wanted to spend it.
