From the proposal to the wedding invitations to the first dance, humour was at the heart of Gina and Mark's wedding, and it's clear that all their guests couldn't wait to see this lovely pair tie the knot.
After Mark's unique proposal, where he boycotted the trailers at the local cinema by making his own film, the couple decided that the Villa Catignano in Siena was their idea of a perfect relaxed Italian dream wedding. The couple decided to make the most of their trip to Tuscany by having a 3 day weekend celebration, all captured by photographer Marc Bates of Photos From Me. On day one the couple and their guests arrived for mixer drinks at the Villa, relaxing and enjoying everyone's company. Day two was the big day, with Gina getting ready with her 12 bridesmaids and Mark living the life with his 11 ushers. They drew their colour scheme from the beautiful lemon trees at the venue, with the bridesmaids wearing gorgeous yellow dresses from Matchimony whilst the boys wore matching red suits from Only and Sons and ASOS.
After a gorgeous garden ceremony in the Tuscan sunshine, the couple and their guests enjoyed an Italian cuisine together in the Villa courtyard. The speeches were by far their favourite moment, and really held a special place in their heart.
The comedy continued into the evening, where Mark and Gina hired two baby ballroom dancers to take their place for the first dance.
The third day called for just one thing - a pizza party! Where better to have pizza than Italy.
Gina and Mark's top tips: Everyone says the wedding day is about you, and I hated that so really tried to push against it, but the truth is, it is all about you. Stop trying to please everyone. Everyone will love it and you will have a blast. If you are going crazy and the anxiety botches up a notch, surround yourself with people who understand it and show you kindness. We all go silly sometimes and that's ok!
