Gordon and Louise's paths first crossed in the office, little did they know, back in 2001 and the days of Arnold Clark, that 12 years later, in 2013, they'd both go on to stay at a mutual friends and connect in an instant!Â
Fast forward and the couple were awaiting daughter Fallon's 1st Christmas, another milestone in 2014. With family gathered, exchanging gifts, Gordon gave Louise special instructions - she had to unwrap her presents in a certain order, one by one... Carefully opening a last parcel, a baby sleep suit was revealed, embroidered with the words "All I want for Xmas is for you mummy to marry my daddy". Entirely speechless, Louise took a moment, an intake of breath, before giving Gordon a happy 'yes'. Â
Preparations for a winter wedding followed, with the hope of snow or frost on the ground. Scottish elegance was the order of the day, with complimenting shades of black and grey. Creating a touch of magic, a starlit backdrop with drapes framed the dance floor, a mirror formed the table plan and specially laser-cut slate tables bore the names of Scottish Lochs.Â
The finishing touches came from a motif of pine cones, stag antlers and thistles - with the cake settled on top of a whiskey barrel, lovingly turned into an open display cabinet. This warm, heartfelt gathering bound the family together and the newlyweds celebrated there honeymoon on Valentine's Day, chasing the sun across Dubai and the Maldives.Â
