Barry and Jo met when they were 19. A whirlwind romance followed, resulting in a proposal on Jo's 21st birthday. For their ceremony they chose St. Christopher’s church in Surrey; the church had a personal connection for the couple as it was where Barry’s late mum was laid to rest.
Jo used magazines and Pinterest to help create some DIY decorations. She also designed the beautiful wedding cake, which was then made by a professional company. The bride got ready at Selsdon Park Hotel along with her 10 bridesmaids. They then made their way to the church in a beautiful horse and carriage. Her wedding ring came from Ernest Jones but as a touching gift for her fiancé, Jo had his late mum’s wedding ring made into one for him. Their huge reception was held at The Warren in Bromley, featuring a stunning dove release.
