The Proposal
For their six-year anniversary, Sam and Amy traveled to Copenhagen, a city they had both always wanted to visit. On their second day, they spent the evening exploring Tivoli Gardens, a place that had inspired Walt Disney himself. Beside a quiet lake, Sam found the perfect moment to propose. It was intimate, magical, and just right for the two of them.
The Venue
The couple knew that Port Lympne Hotel was the perfect venue to tie the knot in, having first visited it for a friend's birthday back in 2019. Amy and Sam said: "It is a stunning venue, that feels very magical and you feel like you're abroad, without being abroad, and that isn't even taking into account the animals."
This Kent wedding venue has a range of indoor and outdoor spaces, with the safari being a memorable activity to remember your wedding day by. Amy and Sam's wedding ceremony took place in the beautiful pergola, which provided a romantic setting surrounded by the beautiful walled garden. For their wedding breakfast and reception, they chose the orangery. The glass orangery, set within 14 acres of gardens, brought nature and the tranquil countryside into their celebrations.
