On a holiday to the South of France, Ted wanted to show Sophie his favourite spot on the river from his childhood, and after dragging Sophie through deep water, barbed wire and bug infested grass, they finally arrived (a few cuts, bruises and tears later)! It was there that Ted got down on one knee and asked her to marry him.
The couple didn't want a particular theme or colour scheme for their day, they just wanted it to reflect their personalities. The day was filled with bright colours and personal touches, from the 50s style swallows and roses bridesmaids dresses to the homemade bunting and pom poms in the marquee.
Ted and the groomsmen were in full Guard of Honour uniform, and Sophie wore a gorgeous 50s style wedding dress. Ted is a lego fan, so Sophie asked the florist to incorporate lego men in the groomsmen's corsages. For catering, the couple went for a vintages style mad hatters tea party and a delicious evening hog roast. The whole day screamed Ted and Sophie, which was exactly what the couple had imaged for their special day.
