Luke and Molly had a beautiful summer wedding at Cogges Manor Farm, celebrating with family and friends. Together, they created a relaxed Cotswold barn wedding centred around pale blue styling, generous sharing food and meaningful DIY details.
Captured by Vicky Lewis Photography, their day was filled with personal touches and an atmosphere that comes from having all your favourite people in the same room.
The Proposal
Luke and Molly first met during a Christmas university job - with Molly working as an Elf in a grotto, Luke as the manager. They didn't start dating until a couple of years later, but four and a half years on, Luke proposed during a trip to Dubrovnik in May 2024.
After rain ruined his original hilltop plan, he waited until the next morning on Lokrum Island. In a quiet cliffside alcove overlooking the sea, he suggested setting up a “timed photo” - secretly switching to video before getting down on one knee. The recording has since become one of their favourite keepsakes.
The Venue
After viewing three Cotswold venues, Cogges Manor Farm stood out immediately. The stone barns offered a blank canvas with built-in lighting and flexibility, plus two separate spaces for ceremony and reception to keep the day flowing naturally.
The walled garden, orchard and manor house provided layered backdrops for photos, while the neutral tones of the barns paired perfectly with their pale blue, white and blush palette.
The Fashion
Molly chose a gown from Proposals of Witney featuring a subtle sequin underlay that shimmered through net and lace. Luke wore a pale blue linen suit from Charles Tyrwhitt with a white shirt and pastel pink tie, tying in with the overall colour scheme.
Their wedding party followed the pale blue theme, with bridesmaids in mix-and-match dresses from Six Stories, Monsoon, ASOS and Amazon, and groomsmen coordinating with Luke's suit for a cohesive summer look.
The Styling
DIY projects were a big focus for the couple, with Molly and her mum sourcing flowers from New Covent Garden Flower Market and arranging the bouquets, buttonholes and table florals. A standout feature was a flower-filled wagon behind the top table - a project Molly had envisioned from the moment she saw the barn.
The tables were styled with handwritten name cards, candlesticks and bud vases, and faux wax candles. To add some personality to their day, the couple built outdoor games, added straw bale seating, s'mores favours for the firepits and homemade signage.
The Food and Drink
Catering was provided by The Yafo Kitchen, who created a Middle Eastern-inspired sharing menu with plated canapés and large platters served to the centre of each table.
Molly made white chocolate and rose, and chocolate fudge cake pops as their wedding cake alternative. Drinks were served by Xanders Mobile Bar, who kept guests' drinks topped up from the ceremony to evening BBQ.
The Entertainment
Live music from Chris Holden covered the first half of the day, including the couple's first dance to Better Together by Jack Johnson. During their cocktail hour, guests enjoyed some personalised garden games, which were especially popular with the children.
Later in the evening, Molly's uncle took over DJ duties, ensuring the party continued long after sunset.
Wedding Highlights
Two days after the wedding, Luke and Molly headed to Italy for a three-week honeymoon through Bologna, Tuscany, Naples, Tropea and Sicily - fitting for a couple who describe themselves as true food lovers.
When asked to choose a favourite moment, they simply said it was being surrounded by everyone they love in one room. If you're planning a barn wedding in the Cotswolds, Molly and Luke's day is full of ideas you can take and make your own!
