The Proposal
Steven decided to ask Peter on his 40th birthday at home during lockdown in April 2021. He made a special scrapbook with photos from their time together, from when they first met to memories from holidays together. After the photos the next page said "Onto our next adventure" with the following page saying "Will you marry me?" with a circle cut out and the engagement ring inside. We absolutely love every detail of this proposal. You can see how much care and thought went into it!

Steven and Peter chose Copdock Hall for their wedding, located in the serene Suffolk countryside. Copdock Hall is a charming barn wedding venue, offering exclusive use to couples meaning you have the whole venue to yourselves.
Surrounded by rolling fields, landscaped gardens and its own vineyard, with a historic parish church next door, it's a picture-perfect setting for your special day. With options for indoor and outdoor ceremonies and a delightful drinks reception backdrop, every space at the venue makes the day special. Some exciting news for this venue, the new Farmhouse accommodation is coming in spring 2024, providing a luxurious stay for couples and their close family and friends, and from 2025 the catering will be in-house.

Steven and Peter made the most of the gorgeous vineyard setting at Copdock Hall, with their photographer Adam Prescott getting the most perfect photos! With their wedding being in October, the leaves on the vines were starting to show autumn colours, with more orange and brown hues emerging. This added some gorgeous colour to their couple shots and beautifully tied in with the overall colour scheme of their wedding day.
The Fashion
Steven and Peter looked sharp in their matching blue suits from Moss. They completed their looks with burnt orange bow ties, pocket squares and brown shoes. They both also wore a button hole that perfectly matched the rest of their floral decor.
The couple were joined by their wedding party of five groomsmaids and seven groomsmen. The groomsmaids wore beautiful burnt orange dresses that suited the autumnal theme perfectly. The groomsmen also sported matching blue suits to coordinate with the grooms' attire.
The Details
For their flowers, Steven and Peter chose beautiful burnt orange and natural flowers to match the season. They got their flowers from Etsy, making sure everything had that cosy autumn feel for their October wedding. The flowers added a special touch to their big day, giving off a warm and romantic atmosphere that made everyone feel the love in the air.

Steven and Peter's wedding day at Copdock Hall was filled with personal touches that made their celebration truly unique and memorable. The couple went above and beyond to express their gratitude to their guests by providing personalised favours. For the adults, they had charming coasters with intricate details, wildflower seeds to symbolise growth and love, and a sweet touch with their favourite jellybeans. The children in attendance were treated to tote bags filled with small colouring books, puzzle books, and creative activities like painting rockets for boys and jewellery boxes for the girls.
One of the most distinctive elements of Steven and Peter's wedding was the incorporation of an Irish tradition. Before the ceremony, two small candles were lit, each bearing the couple's names. After exchanging vows, they blew out the individual candles and together lit a larger one, symbolising the unity of their everlasting partnership and marriage.
Entertainment and First Dance
Entertainment played a significant role in creating a lively atmosphere, and the couple opted for a live band to ensure a night filled with music and dancing. As the evening progressed, the guests found themselves immersed in the rhythm, adding to the joyful ambiance of the celebration.

A week after their wedding, the couple enjoyed a mini-moon in a luxury lodge and celebrated the start of the next chapter in their lives. When asked about their favourite part of the wedding day, Steven and Peter expressed immense joy in seeing everyone come together to celebrate their special day. The couple's happiness was clearly contagious from the huge smiles on their guests faces!
