Holly & Jamie - A Wild West Themed Wedding in Worcestershire

Eden Harrhy Updated:
21st of August 2023

Holly and Jamie met at a local craft centre and hit it off right away. They tied the knot in a Wild West themed wedding surrounded by the Worcestershire countryside at an outdoor wedding venue. The way they pulled off their theme was seriously impressive and their unique personalities shone through.

If you want a masterclass in how to do a themed wedding right, put on your cowboy boots and saddle up as we take you through the delightful details of their unique wedding day...

From The Beginning

For Holly and Jamie it all began at their local craft centre. They worked there together for some time and formed a connection through their love of creativity. After spending six wonderful years together, Jamie popped the question and Holly of course, said "yes"! They planned their wedding over the space of 12 months, resulting in a day that perfectly suited their creative style and reflected their joint appreciation of country music.

The Wedding Looks

Holly walked down the aisle in an exquisite Enzoani wedding dress from TDR Bridal Birmingham. The gown has a stunning fit n' flare silhouette and features a beautiful all over intricate lace design. The bride added a number of unique touches to her look to suit the theme, including a white stetson and delicate hair feathers in white and natural colours. Her look was completed by a pair of Dingo cowgirl boots, which, after a detour via Mexico, found their way to her in the UK.

Jamie, on the other hand, exuded cowboy charm in a Twister cowboy hat from Wild Wild Western Wear. He accompanied this with cowboy boots, collar tips, and a striking belt buckle. His outfit was completed with Levi 501 jeans, a pin stripe jacket, waistcoat and a feather buttonhole from Etsy UK; this was certainly the perfect finishing touch that really elevated the theme.

The bridal party looked absolutely stunning alongside Holly. Lucy, Holly's twin sister, was maid of honour, while nieces Lottie and Millie added sweetness to the celebration as flower girls. Lucy's dress was adorned with floral shaped details made with sequins and bead embellishments. They found this gorgeous dress from Coast and of course completed the look with a pair of cowgirl boots.

Jamie's nephew Oliver also took on the important role of being the ring bearer. He embraced the cowboy style with enthusiasm, complete with his own toy guns!

The Venue

The wedding venue held great significance for Holly and Jamie; it was one of their biggest decisions as they needed the setting to work with their theme. The rustic charm of the tipis at The Firs ticked all of their boxes. Nestled within the beautiful Worcestershire countryside with breathtaking views, a unique barn and bar setup, and a peaceful ambiance, it created an idyllic backdrop for their Wild West wedding.

Holly and Jamie used the venues stunning tipis for their big day celebrations to embrace the great outdoors. This set up allowed the day to be at one with nature, with stunning lighting and fresh air filling the space. Whether you're wanting an intimate gathering or a grand celebration, The Firs offers a range of options to suit your preferences; their expert team understands that no two love stories are alike, and they're dedicated to crafting an experience that reflects your wedding vision.

For Holly and Jamie The Firs ticked many of their boxes when it came to choosing the ideal wedding venue. Most importantly, they loved that they could have full exclusivity of the estate for their big day. This allowed them to bring their vision to life with creative freedom. So, not only could they go to town on the Wild West theme; thanks to the total privacy, they could also foster an atmosphere of uninterrupted intimacy and connection with their wedding guests.

The Wedding Day and Food

All of the wedding guests embraced the spirit of the western theme, donning cowboy hats and accessories that added to the incredible atmosphere for Holly and Jamies celebration. Communicating your theme with your guests and encouraging them to get involved is a great way to ensure that all of the aesthetics of your themed wedding work. You don't want people turning up in black tie when you have a western themed day in mind!

The ceremony was graced by special readings, including Corinthians 1 and the poignant "Maybe" by an anonymous author, both centred around love.

Rustic-style canapés and a high-end BBQ wedding breakfast with sharing plates helped to completely immerse the wedding guests in their country western theme. This delicious array was followed by an evening snack of toasties served in usherette trays, offering comfort food with a twist to give the guests energy for the dance floor.

The Evening Reception

The evening's entertainment was nothing short of spectacular. Live country music by Adam Harding Music encouraged a lively celebration, sharing Holly and Jamie's love of this music genre with their loved ones. This transitioned seamlessly into a DJ-led dance party later in the evening, allowing everyone to dance the night away and celebrate in style.

The highlight of the night was Holly and Jamie's first dance. Against the backdrop of white LED letters reading 'Yee Ha' and a bright white dancefloor inside the tipi tents, Adam Harding's live rendition of the couple's favourite country song completed the personal touches. Dry ice and confetti added magic to the moment, making it unforgettable for both the couple and their guests.

Favourite Moments

Holly and Jamie's favorite parts of the day were carefully crafted to encapsulate their love story. Their first dance, enhanced by the expertise of Adam Harding and Jade of Hushabye Films, merged music, visuals, and emotions into a mesmerizing experience. The backdrop of the barn, the outfits, the excitement, and the presence of loved ones created a moment that felt like a dream come true.

From the vibrant Wild West theme to the carefully chosen suppliers, every element of Holly and Jamie's wedding was a reflection of their personalities and journey together. Their celebration proved that love stories are meant to be written uniquely, embracing the spirit of adventure and romance.
