About Riverwood Bridal

An independent, family run bridal studio in the beautiful Forest of Dean. Specialising in made to order artisan wedding dresses, we also offer a unique range of “off-the-peg” gowns, alongside a vintage collection with retro designs also available on a made-to-order basis. Our professional, in-house alteration service is also available for dresses purchased from other boutiques and our accessories collection is perfect for adding those perfect finishing touches to your bridal look.

In addition to our couture service, we also offer two collections of “off the peg” bridalwear. The “Ivy & Orchid” collection is a range of ex-sample gowns in sizes 6-22 available to take away on the day or customise to your hearts content.

“Memory Lane” is our collection of genuine off-the-peg vintage dresses, alongside a selection of retro designs, which are available on a made to order basis.

Our in house alterations service is available for dresses purchased from other boutiques too.

Our couture bridalwear and mother of the bride/groom outfits are all handcrafted to order in our Gloucestershire studio. Joanna is a qualified designer and dressmaker with a BA(Hons) degree in Fashion Design. She will work with you to create your perfect dress from start to finish.

Joanna has been sewing from a very early age, initially being taught by her Grandmother and has since completed a degree in Fashion Design at the University of the West of England.

Riverwood Bridal was started with the help of her close and commited family soon after her graduation and she has never looked back. Jo is always striving for perfection and truly enjoying what she does, which makes her the perfect person to craft your weding dress!

Joanna's style is soft and feminine with an emphasis on hand finishes and intricate detailing. Drawing inspiration from draping, historical fashion and world cultures, she combines elegant and classic silhouettes with beautiful beadwork to create a look of timeless elegance and sophistication.
