About Bucks Celebrant

I’m a friendly and experienced wedding celebrant who loves working closely with couples to create ceremonies that feel truly personal and relaxed. I’ve had the privilege of conducting many weddings over the years, and couples often tell me how supported and at ease they’ve felt throughout the whole process. From our first chat to the moment you say your vows, I’m there to guide you, offer ideas, and make everything feel simple and enjoyable.

Choosing a celebrant is really about choosing a person — and I’m very much a people person. I genuinely love getting to know the couples I work with, hearing how you met, what makes you laugh, what matters to you and what absolutely doesn’t. That’s where the magic comes from, and it’s how I create ceremonies that feel relaxed, meaningful and unmistakably you.

I’m friendly, professional and very experienced, but I don’t take myself too seriously. Couples often tell me they feel completely at ease with me from our first conversation, and that working together feels more like chatting with a trusted friend than ticking boxes. I’ll guide you through the process, offer ideas when you need them, and make sure everything feels easy and enjoyable — with plenty of fun along the way.

Every ceremony I write is bespoke. No templates, no copy-and-paste, and no ‘one size fits all’. Your ceremony should reflect your personalities, your story and your style — whether that’s romantic, light-hearted, heartfelt or a mix of everything. My role is to bring all of that together into a ceremony that feels natural, engaging and memorable for you and your guests.

If you want a celebrant who is organised, calm, genuinely interested in you, and who can create a ceremony that feels joyful rather than formal, we’ll get on just fine.

FAQs

A registrar is a legal official who can conduct civil weddings. Their role is primarily legal—signing the marriage register and ensuring your marriage is legally valid. The ceremony itself is often formal and follows a set structure, with little room for personalization. A wedding celebrant is not a government official, but a trained professional who creates completely bespoke ceremonies. They can tailor every element—your vows, readings, rituals, music, and style.

Humanist ceremonies are non-religious and secular, often philosophical in nature. They are usually led by a humanist celebrant who follows humanist principles—celebrating life, love, and humanity without religious content. A celebrant-led ceremony can be fully bespoke and non-religious (or religious if required), like a humanist ceremony, but it is not bound to humanist philosophy.

No, there isn't anything that has to be included within a wedding ceremony that is being officiated by a wedding celebrant.

Book as soon as possible to avoid disappoint :-)

No this currently needs to be carried out by a registrar, I have had couples who have got legally married both before and after the ceremonies that I create.

Our Sustainability Commitments

I believe celebrations can be meaningful without being wasteful. Wherever possible, I work in a way that’s thoughtful and low-impact, without ever taking away from the joy of your day. Most of my planning process is digital, reducing the need for printed paperwork, and I’m happy to share scripts and ideas electronically. When printing is needed, I keep it minimal and encourage couples to reuse or repurpose ceremony materials where they can. I’m also conscious about travel and plan my journeys carefully, particularly when working with couples locally in Buckinghamshire and the surrounding areas. I love supporting local venues and suppliers, and I’m always happy to recommend brilliant local businesses who share a similar approach. Sustainability looks different for every couple, so if this is something that matters to you, I’m more than happy to chat about small, thoughtful choices that feel right for your day — without adding pressure or compromise.
