Kate Rostance is a Humanists UK accredited celebrant based in Conwy. She believes a wedding ceremony should be the best bit of the day — not something to get through before the party starts. She writes every ceremony from scratch, works with a small number of couples each year, and has created ceremonies from the grand interiors of Château Rhianfa and the rustic Llyn Gwynant Barns to a barefoot circle on a Llŷn Peninsula beach. 2025 North Wales Wedding Awards Finalist.

Kate is accredited by Humanists UK, which means two things practically: she's trained to a recognised standard, and when the UK Government's planned legal reforms come through, she'll be among the first celebrants able to conduct legally binding humanist marriages in England and Wales.

For now, most couples do a quick legal signing at the register office and then have their real ceremony - the one with their words, their people, their music - with Kate.

She's booked to work at venues across the region: Merrydale Manor and Larkspur Lodge in Cheshire, Château Rhianfa and Henblas Country Park on Anglesey, Llyn Gwynant Barns in Snowdonia, Bach Wen and Talhenbont Hall on the Llŷn Peninsula, Hafod Farm and Bryn Eisteddfod in Conwy.

She also loves a ceremony that doesn't happen at a venue at all.
