An award-winning celebrant and natural storyteller, Dave creates relaxed, heartfelt and joy-filled ceremonies that are completely tailored to every couple. With warmth, humour and genuine care, he turns love stories into unforgettable moments, making guests laugh, cry and feel part of the celebration. Every ceremony is personal, memorable and unmistakably you.
Every ceremony is bespoke: That means no cookie-cutter ceremonies, and absolutely no “Dearly beloved, we are gathered…” unless you specifically ask for it! Dave takes the time to really get to know each couple - how you met, what makes you laugh, what matters most to you, what makes you unique and how you want your day to feel. From that, he crafts a ceremony that sounds like your voices, not a rulebook.

A registrar conducts the legal marriage and follows approved wording with limited flexibility for personalisation. A celebrant creates a completely bespoke ceremony, telling your love story with warmth, humour and heart. With the freedom to choose your location, include personal vows, meaningful rituals and involve family and friends, your ceremony becomes one of the most memorable parts of your wedding day—not just the legal bit.
Both independent celebrants and humanist celebrants create personalised ceremonies, but they differ in flexibility. An independent celebrant creates a ceremony tailored entirely to you. You can include religious readings, prayers, symbolic rituals, cultural traditions or no faith elements at all. A humanist celebrant conducts ceremonies based on Humanist values, so they're always non-religious and non-spiritual, with no prayers or references to a deity.
My ceremony fee is currently £795, that's a flat fee. Additional charges apply for venues over 40 miles from my base in East London. I also offer services as an MC and/or a reception singer. These are both additional charges.
Yes! I will write ceremony based on the information you both provide me. You then have the opportunity to make any amendments neccessary. Ultimatley, we will collaborate to make sure you are fully represented throught the ceremony.
I always try to encourage my couples to their own vows and I am more than happy for couples to have full input into their own ceremony but I am not the one for you if you just want someone who can read a ceremony written by someone else.
You can included pretty much anything you like in your ceremony. I have conducted ceremonies that have dogs as ringbearers, couples doing shots, surprise ringbearers, rings blowing in by owls, flashmobs and many more. As long as it is in keeping with who you are as a couple, there is no reason not to consider add an element to your ceremony.

We will have lots of contact, and be part of a WhatsApp group. The week of the wedding we will have a face-to-face catch up. But if you want to book in another meet, we will see what we can do!
I would book as soon as you have confirmed a date. The last time you want is for someone else to pip you to the post. I only ever have one couple a day, so if you snooze you might lose!
At the moment Celebrants can not perform the legal part of the ceremony but a change is on the horizon as after lots of campaigning, the Law Reform looks like it will be giving Celebrants the ability to make it legal.
