About Iris & Sun Ceremonies
Hello! I’m Jan (she/her) The heart behind Iris & Sun Ceremonies. Based in Renfrewshire, I’m an independent Scottish wedding and vow renewal celebrant. I create personalised weddings, elopements and vow renewals across Scotland, and travel across the UK and internationally for destination celebrations. I craft bespoke ceremonies rooted in warmth and authenticity – a space for people to feel seen and be celebrated. I bring joyful storytelling, a calm presence and a wee bit of whimsy.
I take time to really get to know you, listen closely and notice the small details. As a storyteller and creative writer, I capture your essence.
I lead the moment, but I’m not the centre of it. With a Master of Arts and nearly two decades of corporate and public-speaking experience, I hold space with quiet confidence.
I love real feelings, creative details, heartfelt stories and when everyone is present. You can feel the energy!
I adore designing personalised symbolic rituals, crafted especially for the people at the heart of them. I’m also experienced with the more familiar elements such as handfasting, tree planting, unity candles, ring warming and quaich ceremonies.

Having lived across the UK, Spain and America, home has never felt like one place. It’s shaped how I think about belonging and celebration.
