About Janet Shell Ceremonies
Hi! I’m Janet, and am based across the South East of England, but I’m always happy to go further. You might not be ready to think about the actual ceremony yet, however, it is worth reaching out for the celebrant you would like, then when you have the headspace, I am here ready to craft something that is completely personalised and special to you. if you want somebody warm, kind and with a sense of humour, then you have come to the right page!
With a background in the performing arts at an elite level, I am very relaxed speaking and making those connections with my couple and for their guests. This means that you can completely trust me to deliver on the day. Leading up to your special day, I communicate regularly with my couples and, after booking, I send you a clear pathway so you can see how things will progress. At every stage you have control over how the ceremony is going to feel for you, and, additionally, I am very good at calming nerves on the day! As a published author I delight in crafting a ceremony that is personalised and fits you. Couples comment on my professional approach in all aspects of my role and guests seem to enjoy my relaxed style of delivery. We begin with an online meet up where you can ask all those questions and see some ideas for your ceremony, then I leave you to decide whether I am the right person for you.
PLEASE NOTE: It's important to know that, as yet, I am unable to deliver a LEGAL ceremony for you, however, all my couples value the personal service they receive with me and in many cases actually save money overall by taking this route. If you want to know more, please get in touch and ask. Your day should be 100% what you wish for and this is particulalry true for interfaith ceremonies where traditions and heritages can be honoured.

A Celebrant led ceremony is completely bespoke to you; can include your friends and family and last as long as you like and take place literally anywhere you choose
With a Celebrant ceremony you may choose to have something spiritual or even a recognised religious text. Humanism has no spiritual elements

Absolutely - but better still - you collaborate with me and have full editorial control
Definitely a good idea to book in advance but I can create you a beautiful ceremony in as short a timeframe as 7 days, provided you are good communicators so we can chat!
You are paying me to write the bulk of your ceremony, but I welcome your input at any time and I always encourage my couples to write their own vows- then I keep them safe until the day so you hear them spontaneously
As it is not yet a legal service - no, but as the ring exchange & vows are not legalities either, they can be saved for your celebrant ceremony

A ceremony with this celebrant will always enjoy learning about other heritages and celebrating them
