About Southdowns Manor

Southdowns Manor sits within the South Downs National Park and is booked on an exclusive-use basis so the couple and their guests have the whole property for their wedding. Couples can hold civil ceremonies at the manor; three rooms in the house are licensed for marriage vows, including the Conservatory and the Sussex Room for smaller gatherings and the Banqueting Suite for larger ones, each offering views over the surrounding countryside.

After the ceremony, guests can move into the gardens or the terrace for drinks before the wedding breakfast and evening reception in the Banqueting Suite, which has its own bar, dance floor and dedicated space for entertainment. Up to 150 people can be accommodated for weddings. On the day and into the night, all guest rooms are part of the estate, with a Honeymoon Suite and 14 additional rooms available for the couple’s party to stay overnight. A Changing Suite is included in the venue fee so the couple and wedding party have private space to prepare. Throughout the event a dedicated team works with couples to plan the timing and sequence of the day, from ceremony through to evening entertainment, with the exclusive-use setting maintained for the duration of the celebrations.
