About Cheshire Woodland Weddings

Set within 15 acres of woodland at Blakemere Village in Cheshire, Cheshire Woodland Weddings centres the entire celebration around an outdoor setting shaped by trees, open clearings and waterside spaces. Licensed ceremonies take place beneath a thatched woodland shelter, surrounded by forest views, creating a natural focal point for the day before guests move through the grounds for drinks and photographs, including at the waterside gazebo.

Following the ceremony, celebrations continue in the venue’s large barn, used for dining and evening receptions. The barn includes indoor and outdoor bars along with space for eating, socialising and dancing, allowing the day to transition from outdoor ceremony to indoor celebration without leaving the site.

Guest numbers can reach up to 150 during the day, with capacity increasing to 200 for the evening reception. The venue also offers the option to incorporate activities within the grounds, including archery, falconry and segways, giving couples flexibility in how the day unfolds between ceremony and evening celebrations.

On-site accommodation is available through 12 luxury glamping lodges known as Blakemere Hideaways. Sleeping between two and five guests, each lodge includes an en-suite bedroom, king-sized beds and a private hot tub, with dog-friendly options also available. The setting allows the wedding to move naturally between woodland, waterside and barn spaces, keeping the celebration contained within one outdoor-led location from ceremony through to the evening party.
