About The Blue Boar
Nestled in Oxfordshire's idyllic countryside, The Blue Boar offers a charming retreat for wedding guests. The historic inn and converted barn provide luxurious overnight stays in rooms with individual character, from cosy cottages to elegant suites. Couples can host intimate gatherings in the private dining room, while the spacious bar and garden are perfect for pre-wedding festivities and post-ceremony celebrations. The Blue Boar offers 20 beautiful boutique-style bedrooms.
Overlooking the market square in the historic town of Witney, The Blue Boar dates back to the 17th century. For 200 years, this Cotswold coaching inn bore the name of The Marlborough in honour of the Duke before its original name was restored when it reopened its doors in 2011. Following our extensive restoration, we now offer a 70-seat restaurant, bar area, function room, imposing courtyard, and 20 boutique-style bedrooms.
In our function room, The Bosworth Suite, we can offer a seated meal for 50 guests and a standing event for up to 100, making it the perfect space for a wedding celebration. As a blank canvas, guests have the ability to add their personal touch to the room and make it their own.
