If like us, all you want to do now is cuddle up on the sofa with your partner and watch a film or two, we have the perfect autumn date night film suggestions for you! From exotic locations to wedding planning nightmares these new releases are sure to make you share a laugh when you watch. With some amazing star studded casts, you can just snuggle up, maybe light a few candles and enjoy your date! This film came out in the UK at the end of September and received a 6.2/10 on IMDb and 56% on Rotten Tomatoes. The stars of the film are true Hollywood legends, Julia Roberts and George Clooney who play the divorced parents of their daughter (Kaitlyn Dever) who is planning to marry a seaweed farmer (Maxime Bouttier) in Bali. This funny film follows the actions the parents take to make sure that their daughter does not make the same mistake they did. This film is amazing if you want something to take you away from the hustle and bustle of everyday. It is set in paradise after all! 

Father of the Bride

An updated take on the classic film which starred Steve Martin and Dianne Keaton. This new version follows a Cuban-American family where the loving father of the bride is struggling to come to grips with his daughter's upcoming nuptials. As the wedding planning gets crazy and relationships are strained the family are reminded of what is most important. This heartwarming film is great for a cosy night in. Make sure that you get all of the blankets and your favourite hot drink at the ready before starting this rom com classic. This film received 5.9 on IMDb and 79% on Rotten Tomatoes.

Bros

With the same producer as Bridesmaids and Trainwreck and the director from Bad Neighbours, this romantic comedy follows the lives of two men with commitment problems as they attempt to have a relationship together. Billy Eichner (who wrote the film) and Luke Macfarlane star as the two leads in this LGBTQ+ positive film. This film demonstrates an amazing step forward in the representation of openly LGBTQ+ and overall is so fun to watch. This film scored 88% on Rotten Tomatoes and 6.4 on IMDb, the highest of all the films mentioned on this blog. Now all you have to do is get the popcorn at the ready for this great film!

Marry Me

New to our screens this year was a romantic comedy in which Jennifer Lopez's character Kat Valdez, a singer, finds out her fiancé is cheating just before they are about to say their vows to a live audience. The singer decides to spontaneously marry a stranger from the crowd (Owen Wilson) and the film follows what happens next! This film demonstrates the strength of picking yourself up when you get knocked down and is a cute watch for a date night. It received 6.1 on IMDb and 61% on Rotten Tomatoes. The Lost City

This film stars some amazing actors and actresses including Sandra Bullock, Channing Tatum, Daniel Radcliffe and Brad Pitt. The film follows adventure novelist Loretta Sage (Bullock) who gets kidnapped on her book tour by a treasure seeker (Radcliffe). Her cover model (Tatum) wants to be her real life hero but who knows what will happen along the way? If you want to be fully immersed in this film, why not light some candles to give the glow similar to the lantern lined treasure caves that feature in the film. This film scored 6.1/10 on IMDb and 79% on Rotten Tomatoes.
