Book with Confidence Guarantee

Any bookings made through Guides for Brides with venues or suppliers currently showing our Book with Confidence badge, guarantees that they will transfer your deposit to your new date if you need to postpone your wedding due to government Covid restrictions.  So now you can book with confidence and get on with your wedding planning.

Around two-thirds of suppliers and venues indicated that they could offer penalty-free postponements to new bookings, so if a business is not yet displaying the Book with Confidence badge, don't be afraid to ask them if they can offer it. However, some suppliers, for example celebrants, planners and some venues, incur costs from the point of booking so may not be able to transfer deposits without penalty. Speak to these suppliers about other ways they might be able to help you - most businesses will do all they can to be flexible and work together with you in these unprecedented times - and remember that this guarantee doesn't affect your statutory rights.

To activate your Book with Confidence guarantee:

  1. Add the supplier to your Planner, send them a message through our website or click the 'favourite' icon to confirm that you saw the guarantee on Guides for Brides.
  2. Pay the deposit and mark them as BOOKED on your planner.

They’ll receive an email from us confirming that your booking is covered by the Book with Confidence guarantee.

Book your wedding with Confidence

Not booked your venue yet?

If you've already been for show rounds you’ve probably already decided where you’ll book and your ideal date.

Reserve your date now and you can start planning.

We know there will be a shortage of venues throughout 2022 and 2023. Wedding venues all now have well established postponement policies so speak to them before booking if you have any concerns.

Ready to book suppliers?

This scheme lets you go ahead with booking your suppliers even if you aren’t sure if your wedding will need to be postponed, or when it will be postponed to.

If you need to postpone. The venues and suppliers showing this badge have confirmed that they will apply your deposit to your new date if your wedding has to be postponed due to Covid restrictions.

Flexibility is key. Reputably suppliers will only accept a certain number of bookings per date so if you need to postpone, be flexible with dates to ensure all your suppliers are available and able to accept your booking on the proposed date. If they are unable to accept your booking, they will be unable to transfer your deposit.

Act Fast.  This guarantee allows you to plan your wedding with confidence, even in uncertain times.  Once things settle down, venues and suppliers may return to non-transferable deposits, so we'd encourage you to book now. The guarantee will apply to anyone that booked throughout the time they were displaying the Book with Confidence badge, regardless of how far off the wedding will be.

Terms and Conditions

Before booking, inform the venue or supplier that you'd like the date covered by their Book with Confidence guarantee. They can advise you of any additional terms, before you book.

Mark your supplier as BOOKED in your online wedding planner as soon as you have paid the deposit so that they know your booking is covered by the scheme.

This scheme covers deposits, not booking fees, stage payments, final payments or any other payments for work that has been done.

Your contract is with the venue or supplier. We cannot be held responsible for any breach of contract or other failures of your venue or supplier.

Play Fair. Participating venues and suppliers tend to offer you more than the law requires them to, however they should not be expected to offer key dates or dates of a higher value to your original booking without charging the difference in cost.
