The award winning Carrick Spa is located 2.5 miles from Cameron House Hotel on the banks of Loch Lomond (transport provided), and is perfect for a relaxing hen party or short luxury honeymoon break. The spa is part of the Carrick Country Club, but has its own entrance to the side of the building and on entering the reception you are immediatley impressed with its modern feel, but also the warmth that is added by the wooden panelling and furniture. For me though, sitting in the outside jacuzzi in light rain looking out over the misty Loch, has to be my most memorable experience of the visit.
If you are looking for something even more exclusive or truly romantic, Carrick Spa offers a VIP Spa Suite for two, with a mineral bath, private steam room and balcony. Carrick Spa offers an extensive range of treatments incorporating both ESPA and Carita products. There is a treatment for everyone, and I opted for an hour long back/shoulder massage, facial and head massage. My therapist Alison was very thorough; talking me through the products, required massage pressure and after care.
What I really liked about the Carrick spa is the variety of Hen and Bridal packages that they offer, with Spa Days costing from just £99 per person including a light lunch and glass of bubbly. And there is always the option to tie in your spa experience with something a little more vigorous, and take advantage of the many outdoor activities that Cameron House has to offer. After you have finished being pampered why not finish the day off in The Spa Cafe, where there is a tempting range of wraps, salads and bites, plus fruit juices, the indulgence continues. The Carrick Spa is suitable for small hen groups, couples, mother and daughter, and particularly for those looking for a more sophisticated spa with lots of facilities and plenty to do. Highly recommended.
