The event is an opportunity for couples to make their own wedding rings, with dinner and an overnight stay thrown in as well to create the ultimate mini-moon escape!
About CAST
Founded in 2017, CAST is an expert team of jewellery designers, who are passionate about making your wedding ring dream a reality. They have partnered with a range of different establishments, including coffee shops, restaurants, backstreet florists, 5* hotels, art galleries and workplaces. They have also ran public events, work events, hen parties, birthday parties and much more! No two events will ever be the same, and more importantly, no two jewellery pieces will either.
Their beautifully crafted jewellery is made through the ancient art of lost wax casting. Combining exciting spaces, people, sometimes menus, and the tools required to create bespoke jewellery, CAST have totally changed the game when it comes to wedding rings. Not only can you have a piece that is delightfully unique, you also get an intimate bonding experience with your partner, which you'll be reminded of forever when you look at your wedding ring.
How it works
You'll create your rings using lost wax casting, an ancient jewellery making process which dates back to 4000 BC. Once your design has been made, it's taken to Birmingham's iconic jewellery quarter, where the experts at CAST can work their magic. Your creation is placed into a wax canister and put into a kiln. The heat then burns the wax away, leaving an exact mould in the plaster. Then molten metal (Gold, Platinum, Palladium, Rhodium) is poured into the canister, creating a stunning final product; you and your partner's wedding rings.
Before your wedding rings are sent to you, they go through a meticulous hand finishing process to ensure that every detail is perfect. The process takes around 6 weeks once you have completed your design at their workshop, and your ring is delivered to your home address via Royal Mail Special Next Day Delivery.
If you need inspo for your wedding ring design, CAST have a pinterest board with a wide range of different ideas to help you decide. With the help of the team's in-house designers, you'll be able to create an entirely bespoke ring that holds a great deal of sentimental value.
The Middleton Lodge event
In the breathtaking setting of Middleton Lodge, CAST will help you create your own (or each others) wedding rings. You have the choice to cast your rings in solid Gold, Silver, or Platinum.
This exclusive event will offer a one to one three-hour workshop with each couple, to design a ring that fits their tastes and personalities. Additionally, couples taking part will get to spend the night in the Palladian Main House. Each room will have a complimentary bottle of champagne and a bouquet of gorgeous blooms. After the workshop you can explore the estate, take a stroll in the woodlands, or sip on cocktails at the Coach House bar.
In the evening, couples can enjoy a three course meal, each dish inspired by the estate’s ingredients and surrounding parkland. In the morning, a delicious breakfast will be served at the Coach House.
