Iconic and Exhilarating: Helicopter Views of the Strip

If you're lovers of adrenaline - there's one thing you have to do on your hen/stag parties or as a newly married couple in Las Vegas... take a helicopter ride over the Las Vegas Strip. Seeing the city from above is unreal, the neon, the fountains, the iconic hotels, all glowing in the desert darkness. It's the ultimate way to experience Sin City in all it's glory.

We experienced The Strip from above on the Vegas Views experience with Maverick Helicopters honestly, this is such an exhilarating and fun experience. The Strip turns into a glittering runway that is absolutely mesmerising from the sky. You can see all of the iconic landmarks, from The Sphere to the Bellagio Fountains. This is the type of moment you remember forever, and of course, the photos are incredible.

Our verdict: Hands down one of the most romantic, jaw-dropping experiences in Vegas. It's a short experience (approx 30 mins in total with 15 mins in the sky), but for a honeymoon it's worth every penny. Do this on your first or second night to set the tone for your whole trip.

Top tip: The Maverick check-in is just a two-minute walk from the iconic Las Vegas sign. Plan in a stop there before or after your flight for some must-have photos. When we visited, we even caught an Elvis impersonator performing. Very on-brand for Vegas!

Intimate and Sexy: Drinks in a Speak Easy

For a truly memorable, intimate evening, you need to check out a speakeasy! These hidden bars are so much fun and feel really sexy. In some locations, you'll often see shows or performances at the weekends - from burlesque style performances to magicians and jazz singers.

We headed to the 1923 Prohibition Bar at Mandalay Bay. From the moment you step in, it feels like you've been transported back to the roaring 1920s, far from the neon chaos of the Strip. They also offer a dedicated wedding and events space, complimented with low lighting and vintage furnishings, creating an atmosphere that will give you a real memorable Vegas wedding. Bring your family and friends, or just enjoy newly married life in this sultry and sophisticated space.

The cocktails here are next-level, each meticulously crafted with care and often inspired by the glamour and intrigue of the Prohibition era. Whether you're enjoying a perfectly balanced Old Fashioned, a smooth gin creation, or a contemporary twist on a classic, every drink draws people into the space around them. The staff are warm, knowledgeable, and elevate the evening with their expert recommendations. And don't miss the snack boards - they're seriously impressive. We were obsessed with the maple bacon and chilli chocolate board, which was indulgent, unique, and the perfect accompaniment to our drinks.

Our verdict: If you want a speakeasy that's romantic and stylish, 1923 Prohibition Bar is a must. Dress up, embrace the vintage vibes, and let it be one of the highlights of your honeymoon in Sin City.

Top tip: For couples hosting their wedding in Las Vegas with guests, the 1923 Prohibition Bar also has some stunning event spaces that are ideal for celebrating somewhere unique and stylish.

Vegas Fun: See a Show on The Strip

You're in Vegas - of course you need to see a show while on your honeymoon and of course, turning to Cirque Du Soleil is a great choice. We saw Mad Apple in New York New York. For couples wanting a mix of elegance, spectacle, and playful fun, Mad Apple is a must-see show during your Las Vegas honeymoon. From the moment you arrive, you're swept into a high-energy journey through the vibrant streets of New York City - all from your seat in Sin City.

Even before the main performance begins, the cast is engaging the audience with clever stunts and lighthearted pre-show antics. You can grab a drink at the on-stage bar and snap photos, setting a lively and fun tone for the night. Drinks are surprisingly reasonable, making it easy to toast your honeymoon in style.

The show itself is a whirlwind of acrobatics, comedy, and live music performed by exceptionally talented singers and musicians. Between the jaw-dropping aerial stunts and hilarious stand-up moments, it's impossible not to be entertained - perfect for a couple looking to enjoy a little grown-up fun together.

The verdict: Mad Apple strikes the perfect balance between sophistication and excitement. It combines the artistry of Cirque du Soleil with flirtatious fun, making it a memorable highlight for any honeymoon in Las Vegas.
