Are you looking for a unique way to make shopping for your wedding rings even more exciting? Why not make them yourselves? Quicksilver Jewellery offers you and your partner the chance to make your own wedding rings at their beautiful Laugharne studio, West Wales.
About Quicksilver Jewellery
Quicksilver Jewellery is a traditional family‑run silversmithing studio, founded in 1988 by Alby Barratt in Laugharne. Their recycled silver (or Ecosilver) is sourced from unwanted jewellery and other silver items, ensuring an eco‑friendly, ethical approach without compromising on quality. Now joined by his daughter Rosie Thorne, the business creates bespoke commissions, wedding and bridal jewellery, and offers expert repairs, all finished with full hallmarks for guaranteed craftsmanship.
The Experience
Quicksilver's Make-Your-Own Wedding Rings Workshop includes an initial consultation to discuss the metal, shape and size of your bands. Then, one the day of the experience, you'll have full use of the workshop and tools throughout the day, and expert guidance and support from the team.
You'll be treated to complimentary teas, coffees and Welsh Cakes, plus a celebratory glass of bubbly at the end of the day.
The experience also includes photos and videos throughout the day for you to keep as memories, professional hallmarking by the London Assay Office, and any finishing touches needed such as polishing or resizing to ensure your rings are absolutely perfect. You'll get a polish cloth and ring box to keep your handcrafted creations safe and sparkling.
What do we love most about this experience? Every glance at your rings will remind you not only of your vows, but of the day you forged them together.
