I’m Russell Lewis, a wedding photographer with over 20 years’ experience photographing weddings in a natural, unobtrusive way. My approach is straightforward – I blend in, pay attention, and document the day as it unfolds, without forced poses or awkward direction. The aim is for photography to feel like a seamless part of the day, not something that pulls you away from it.

I’ve photographed weddings at close to 200 venues across Herefordshire, the UK, and further afield, including destination weddings overseas. That experience means I’m comfortable working in all kinds of settings and lighting conditions, from large country houses and barns to smaller, more personal outdoor ceremonies. Knowing how a wedding day flows allows me to anticipate moments as they happen and work confidently in the background.

My style is natural and timeless, focusing on real interactions rather than staged moments. I look for the small details, the shared looks, and the in-between moments that often say the most. I’ll give clear guidance when it’s helpful, particularly during portraits and group photos, but otherwise I keep things relaxed and allow the day to run as it should.

I also offer engagement shoots as part of my coverage, giving couples the chance to get comfortable in front of the camera before the wedding day. Above all, my aim is to create a thoughtful, honest record of your wedding that still feels true to you years down the line.
