Peter King, The Midlands Toastmaster, brings over 40 years of experience in the hospitality and leisure industry, working as a DJ, presenter and compere. He is also a proud member of the Executive Guild of Toastmasters. His aim is simple: to ensure that you, your family and your guests can relax and enjoy your wedding day

Prior to your wedding day, Peter will meet with you to discuss your plans in detail & understand exactly how you would like your celebration to unfold. Arrive at the venue an hour before your families and guests arrive and will liaise with the venue staff, to confirm all the arrangements are in place. Peter works closely with the photographers, videographers and will be on hand to assist them with the confetti/bouquet throws, the group and family shots, capturing all those special moments. He will be present to welcome and greet your families and guests at your reception and will direct them to the designated rooms taking any cards or gifts and putting them in the allocated place as required. He will keep your guests well informed of the proceedings throughout the day.
Peter will escort the Bride and Groom to meet with the registrars and assist with the wedding ceremony. He will call and escort everyone to the Wedding Reception and organise the receiving line (if required). At the start of the Wedding Breakfast, he will invite all the guests to stand and cheer as the happy couple enter the room. He will announce the serving of the meal and circulate the guest book. He will announce the speeches (and be nearby throughout), read out any special messages and pass on any gifts or flowers. He will announce the cutting of the cake at the Wedding Breakfast or the Evening Reception and invite your photographer/videographer and guests to gather round for those memorable pictures. Peter will then invite all guests to stand whilst he escorts the Bride and Groom from the reception.
At the Evening Reception Peter will invite the Bride and Groom to take to the dance floor for their first dance and introduce any other special dances as required. Peter will on hands throughout the day to ensure that the day progresses as you planned and dreamt it would do. Your Wedding Day is a very special occasion, it is not “just one day” but a lifetime of memories.
