About The Grand Hall
The magnificent Grand Hall, is steeped in history. Available for dry hire, you have complete flexibility to choose your own catering and decor options. With capacity for up to 150 guests with a central location and ample parking, it is perfect for receptions in Bedford. Please note, we are not licensed for wedding ceremonies.
The Grand Hall itself dates back to 1882, and the stunning ground floor has capacity for up to 150 of your guests.
Our venue has a distinctive Victorian décor and tall ceilings that give you a regal backdrop for the perfect wedding reception. Make your glamorous entrance through the amazing ornate doors whilst your guests wait for you in the hall.
The Hall really is unique and will guarantee that your wedding reception is truly unforgettable. It was originally built for the Harpur Trust as a school hall in ‘Free Tudor’ style and has been recognised as a notable landmark in the town since the beginning of its construction, featuring on postcards and in guidebooks.
The Grand Hall is available for hire on the weekends and during school holidays. We encourage you to have your celebration your way and so outside caterers are welcome.
