About The Notley Tythe Barn
The origins of Notley Tythe Barn date to the 12th century, when it was built as part of a monastic complex. It stands on 500 acres of pastureland that has been farmed by the same family for over 350 years. The barn was restored by the current owners in 1991 and has since hosted more than 2,000 weddings. We are licensed for civil ceremonies, welcome celebrant weddings, and promise you a great wedding breakfast and reception!
Licensed for civil marriages, partnerships or naming ceremonies both indoors and out, the barn can seat up to 140 guests, with another 60 in the adjoining Granary Bar.
We produce tailored menus and any type of catering required to meet your needs.
Notley Tythe Barn is fully licenced and our full bar offers any type of tab or drinks required. We can provide fine Wines and Champagnes or offer corkage on your own. For the adults there is a cocktail and canapé lawn, while for the children there is a recreational lawn where they can run and play in complete safety. In addition a larger marquee can be placed on the lawn to accommodate up to 250 guests.
