Nestled in the picturesque Beamish conservation valley, the Black Horse Beamish offers breathtaking panoramic views. We are a licensed Wedding Venue, our estate features the stunning Orchard Marquee, our intimate George Ridley Suite. We have luxurious rooms and self-catering cottages, making it the ideal venue for your special wedding day.
A unique venue with two completely different areas to choose from to host your day. Grand or intimate, indoors or outdoors, there is something to suit everyone. Photo opportunities are in abundance with our stunning countryside views across County Durham, lavender field, woodlands, private grounds with farmyard antiques and elegant interiors.
All areas are licensed for a civil ceremony allowing you to move seamlessly from ceremony to reception.
With many years of experience in weddings and hospitality, we know that no two weddings are alike and our dedicated wedding co-ordinators take great pleasure in helping you plan the bespoke wedding day of your dreams. Our kitchen delivers freshly prepared dishes using the finest locally sourced ingredients.
The Orchard Marquee: One of a few permanent marquees in the North East with stunning panoramic views of the Beamish conservation valley and complemented by glorious landscaped gardens. Furnished with dance floor, stunning 8ft chandeliers, up-lighting and fully integrated sound system - consider it a blank canvas to make your own.
The George Ridley Room: Incorporating some of the most charming and original features such as open fires, oak beams and Gallery Bar, this is a beautiful space for more intimate weddings of up to 50 guest and 60 for an evening banquet.
Onsite accommodation available in Old Red Row Rooms, Red Row Retreat and Huckleberry Cottage. Rooms feature stunning copper tubs for two and four poster beds.
