An Unforgettable 4 Star Destination for Your Wedding - Idyllically set in 20 beautiful acres of natural woodland with lake and landscaped grounds, Darwin Lake offers a stunning backdrop to many exclusive and unforgettable weddings.

Our facilities include accommodation for up to 129 guests. Our weddings take all weekend or why not try a mid-week event. Licensed for civil wedding ceremonies, it’s the perfect place to exchange your vows and hold your reception - all in one superb venue.

Our unique and exclusive grounds include a private lake, as well as the charming, stone-built Darwin Hall, which has recently been redesigned to include two large function rooms (with the flexibility to increase to 3 when required). The Hall interior has recently been updated by our interior design architects and presents a unique, high quality venue for your special day.

The hall – which can seat up to 130 people on either floor and allows up to 150 guests for your evening celebrations - sits adjacent to the lawns, which can easily support a large marquee. These run down to the lake and babbling brook. An excellent choice for the descerning bride and groom offering picturesque grounds for your photographs and enjoyment. Outdoor or indoor ceremonies are offered with a full range of services including wedding planning, catering and bar along with loads of activities that can be booked to make your day even more special.

We also have 17 quaint, four-star, stone-built cottages at Darwin Lake. These can accommodate groups up to 129 guests, meaning that you and your guests can all relax in the comfort of our beautiful surroundings for the duration of your wedding.

Set amongst the rolling hills and pine forests above the quaint village of Two Dales, Darwin Lake is three miles from Matlock and just 25 miles from the M1. Our enchanting grounds and contemporary facilities can be booked throughout the year.
