Our recently renovated hotel is the perfect wedding venue in Belper, Derbyshire. Set amidst rolling countryside & with two beautiful function rooms we can give you the wedding of your dreams. Fully licensed for marriages and civil ceremonies. Our 22 bedrooms are available to you and your guests. Stay in our bridal suite the night before and the night of your wedding, enjoy a complimentary continental breakfast when staying in our hotel with your guests

The venue is licensed for civil marriages and civil partnerships and provides two suites for ceremonies and receptions. The Arkwright Suite is the larger of the two, holding up to 70 guests for a ceremony and wedding breakfast, with space for 120 for an evening reception. For more intimate gatherings, The Strutt Suite seats up to 40 guests for a ceremony or 30 for a wedding breakfast.

The hotel’s events team guides couples through their arrangements and can recommend local suppliers such as photographers and florists. Food and drink packages are available, and the hotel has an authentic stone-baked Italian pizza oven. For guests staying over, The Lion Hotel provides 22 en-suite bedrooms, each with a television, tea and coffee making facilities, a hairdryer, and toiletries.
